Fiji Beekeepers Association is assisting Fiji’s beekeepers improve their honeybee genetics and increase honey production by providing quality queen bees at a subsidised price from reliable queen breeders.
Normally, caged queen bees are priced at $50 each or more. They are being made available to beekeepers at subsidised price of $20.
Minimum of 5 marked caged queen bees per beekeeper will be supplied.
Queen quantities are limited and subsidised queen orders must be made through Mohammed Rahim.
Breeders will obtain biosecurity permits to have the caged queens moved to your area.
Conditions apply:
- Breeders who are interested in supplying the queen needs to apply in writing to the project manager on [email protected] giving details of their breeding capacity and apiary locations.
- Farmers who did not receive any subsidized queen from FBA till date will be given preference.
- ONLY Farmers who have filled the online FBA data survey form will be considered.
