Honey Competition Awards – Adjustments – April 11 2021
Fiji Beekeepers Association prides itself on the integrity of its annual honey judging competition. Towards this, it is a bit embarrassing to find a mathematical error after Saturday’s event that changes the judged outcome of the competition.
The awards for 1st and 2nd place in the competition for Fiji’s Best Honey remain as announced at the meeting, won by “Bee Happy” and “Nahl Pure Honey”, respectively. However, the corrected rankings of Fiji’s best honey changes Gita’s “Karan’s Natural Sweetnin” from 3rd place to share 1st place. The 3rd place honey is correctly judged to be “Bula Bee”.
Our apologies for the error. We will work to avoid this problem in future competitions, but also want this year’s honey awards to be based on their true judged qualities. Congratulations to all the winners.

Joe’s history of helping other beekeepers and creating new bee products were cited by FBA’s executive team as the primary reasons for this award.
The award was presented by former McKenzie Beelines manager, Sekove Koro.
