Mango is normally not a favorite nectar source for Fiji’s bees, and they do not collect mango pollen.
However, this season I observed many honeybees on mango flowers despite citrus and starfruit blooming at the same time.
Anyone else observing this?

Don’t know if it’s related to the relatively abundant late flowering of mango this year, or due to the Italian bees’ longer tongues (compared to the black bee), or something else, but nice to see.
Will learn in a week or two whether it helped honey production.
