Fiji Beekeepers Association has purchased more barcodes for beekeepers to use in their honey labeling. They are available to any Fiji beekeeper: $10 for a pack of 10 codes.
Barcodes are needed to sell products in shops that use point-of-sale (POS) scanners. Barcodes added to your label make it easier for supermarkets to buy your honey.
These barcodes are unique to you – no else worldwide has these specific codes.
Fiji Beekeepers Association bought a total of 300 codes, so this offer will be available on a ‘first-paid’ basis to the first 30 beekeepers.
To buy
Pay $10 into Fiji Beekeepers Association’s bank account and send a photocopy of the bank deposit slip to John Caldeira at [email protected], or by Facebook Messenger.

Common Questions:
1) What are barcodes?
Barcodes are a machine-readable code in the form of numbers and a pattern of parallel lines of varying widths, printed on and identifying a product. They are used by supermarket scanners and computer systems to correctly price and manage inventory.
2) How many codes do I need?
A separate code is needed for each size or product and every separate type of product. For example, a beekeeper selling 250 gram, 500 gram and 1kg bottles of honey would need 3 barcodes, one for each size. If selling light and dark colour honey, each in 3 size bottles, a total of 6 codes would be needed.
3) Is there an annual fee or expiry date?
No annual fee. No expiry date. They are yours forever. These codes can be used for honey or any other product.
4) Do I need a separate barcode for each shop that I sell my honey to?
No. The same barcode can be used in many shops. Each shop can enter their own description and price for your honey.
5) If I buy these barcodes, what will I receive?
You will receive 10 unique barcodes as attachments to an email. Each barcode will come in EPS (vector graphic), JPG and PDF formats. I will send the EAN-13 format, which is used worldwide except USA and Canada. If you want the USA-Canada format (UPC-12), just let John Caldeira know.
6) What if I only need 3 barcodes?
Sell or give extra codes to your beekeeper friends. Fiji Beekeepers Association will only sell packs of 10.
