Beekeeping might not be for everyone, yet Holy Cross College Principal (Mr Tomasi Takala) shows keeping bee’s is a journey and believes we need to pass on the knowledge to the younger generations as he introduced beekeeping to HOLY CROSS COLLEGE in Taveuni. Last October, he had plans for his students to learn beekeeping.

We’ll be hosting our next Beekeeping Practical Day at Mudrenicagi next Thursday March 6th 2025.

Team Samoa, headed by the Samoa Farmers Association – SFA, and in partnership with Women In Business Development Inc, Samoa Apiculture Organisation Inc, Fiji Bee Keepers Association (FBA), came in unity to Samoa to host the Regional Bee Pasefika Congress 2025.

Participants of the Bee Pasefika Congress had the opportunity to visit a bee farm in Tanumapua, Apia, Samoa, where they explored different hive structures, including plastic and wooden hives.

Last week, Teitei Taveuni had the incredible opportunity to be part of the Bee Pasefika Congress in Apia, Samoa! This landmark event was co-hosted by Pacific Farmers Organisation and Samoa Farmers Association (SFA), in partnership with Women in Business Development Inc (WIBDI), Samoa Apiculture Organisation (SAO), Fiji Beekeepers Association (FBA), and Pacific Island Farmers Organisation
