Honey Harvesting House Portable Type (Commercial Beekeeper)
The Ministry of Agriculture is mandated to carry out semi-commercial and commercial developments for the limey Industry by developing more resilient breeds, producing quality genetic material for increased honey production for food security. and income generation considering climate change adaptation.
Thus, applications are invited from individual Commercial beekeepers for Serri-Automatic Uncapping machines.
This initiative is to initiate local production of frames of International Standards with more efficiency in carrying out a fast and effective honey harvesting process wig. a high level of hygiene practices.
Targeted beneficiaries: Harvesting House Portable Type (Commercial Beekeeper)
- Targeted Assistance – 2 applicants
- Targeted at women and youths (individual)
- Maximum assistance of up to $20,200.00 per applicant
- Assistance shall be based on successful applicants 1/3rd ($6733.33) and Government 2/3rd $13,466471 contribution (refer to requirements).

Who Is Eligible?
- Applicant must be a Commercial Beekeeper with more than 76 hives. (Individual)
- Evidence of market access fix supply of honey in supermarkets/restaurants and hotels.
- Applicants practicing on Communal Land should provide written consent from Yavusa/MatagalV Tokatoka members and are required to have it witnessed by a commissioner of Oath (JP/DO/Roko);
- Evidence of good record-keeping
How Do I Apply For This Programme?
Application form (EOI forms) are available at your nearest Agriculture Office/Station (Online application will be available 1st of August 2024)
What Supporting Documents Are Required?
- Any one of the Valid Identification Cards (Joint Card/ FNPF/ FRCS) /Voter ID/ Driving License).
- Land tense documents (Lease Title/ Formal Arrangement Agreement/ Support Letter from Communal Arrangement).
Other Requirements Of The Programme
- Priority wdl be given to first-tine applicants for women and youths and not applicants assisted before
- Successful farmers will have to pay 1/3rd ($6733.33) of the total cost and government 2/3rd ($13466.67)
- My additional expenses that exceed the limited budget to be borne by the successful applicant(s)
- Failure to comply with the above will result in confiscation of equipment by the MoAW.
