This week we successfully moved 25 bee hives back into our farm from Arthur’s family farm, Waidranudranu, which is about 5 km away.
We originally located our bees there about 5 years ago because we didn’t have enough food for the bees growing on our farm.
Now we have coconuts, coffee, Noni and more flowering fruit trees so it’s time to move them back.
Having them back on our property will make it much easier to manage them especially now that varroa mites are a constant management issue.
Thanks to our team for all their hard work fencing off a new bee yard, building new bee hive stands, prepping the hives for the move, and finally moving the hives.
